Upcoming Polaris Upgrades
Production Upgrade to 8.0 Scheduled
The production database upgrade to Polaris 8.0 is scheduled for Monday, March 23 at 10:00pm. The upgrade will also include 7.8 updates and should take approximately 2-3 hours to complete.
While the upgrade work is being performed, the production database will be unavailable to patrons and staff, including:
- Staff client
- Leap
- PowerPAC
- Simply Reports
- SIP and API-connected tools
An alert banner will be added to the PowerPAC ahead of the upgrade to announce the service interruption.
CCS staff will email system status before libraries open on Tuesday morning confirming the upgrade has successfully completed. Also on Tuesday morning, CCS staff will work to replace custom PAC text that may be impacted by the upgrade. We anticipate that all custom PAC language and elements will be reinstated prior to 12 pm.
